After forming the Forlorn Hope at the Siege of Badajoz, Sam Jones and Tom Hopper of the 45th Regiment of Foot have worked their way up in Wellington’s army. But, despite initial wins, the British have been pushed west into Portugal. Determined to liberate Spain and destroy Napoleon’s empire once and for all, Wellington will attack the French from all fronts near the town of Vitoria.

It seems Sam and Tom must again wet their bayonets with the blood of French soldiers, but duty aside, Tom has a new reason to fight…
