Courage and plenty of it — that’s what a soldier needs in wartime. But in the North African desert during the Second World War, it wasn’t only regular troops who were caught up in the fighting. There were many civilians and tribesmen there too.
And one such tribe, with the help of some British soldiers and an archaeologist, was destined to play a big part in thwarting the Nazi advance.
