Till Tanks Fly

Issue Number: 5513

Danny Gillen just wanted an easy life, but World War II was rudely underway and his quiet days of guarding RAF bases in Blighty were put in jeopardy when a fist fight and a brush with MPs earned him a reputation as a fighter. Soon, he was on a boat to Algiers as part of Operation Torch and the brand-new RAF Regiment. Everyone told him it was a useless force —at least until tanks could fly —but Gillen learnt that wasn’t the case at all as he was thrust into the heart of the action!
