Eyes glazed by the desert sun, half-demented by thirst, the German Captain thought his last hours had come. Lost in the desert without transport, there was no hope for him or his men.
Then… was it a mirage?
No it was real — the robed figure striding over the dunes, face hidden in the shadow of his hood.
A pair of gleaming eyes studied the Germans for a long time, then the man turned and beckoned to the troops to follow him.
The Captain croaked an order and, followed by his men, stumbled after the strange figure.
