It was a bad day for the Nazis when a German fighter pilot shot down an Allied transport plane behind the German lines in Italy. For in that plane, heading for prison, was a collection of the biggest crooks and cut-throats in the British Army. And the man in charge of them, Military Police Sergeant Pete Simpson, knew that if he could tame this bunch of gorillas, they would tear the Nazis to pieces. But how do you even begin to teach such men to obey orders?
