Trooper Bill Bourne had the annoying habit of wandering off without telling anybody – and that often got him into trouble.

Now, as his long-suffering sergeant set off to fetch him back from his latest jaunt, it seemed that the Trouble Trooper had landed in deeper bother than usual as shots sounded ahead.

But concern turned to disbelief when the sergeant finally found Bill – trading bullets with French soldiers!
